  I bought the official Samsung toner for my ML1640 printer to avoid possible difficulties with compatibility. It does exactly what one wants it to do, but it does seem expensive. I use much cheaper inks with my Canon inkjet printer without any visible difference and wish there was a similar reliable source of laserjet toners.

  Technically the toner is easily worth four stars, but, like all toners seems ridiculously expensive. So only three stars.

  Samsung is making it very difficult for customers – due to continuous software updates – to buy refill certridges on the open market.
  They are worse than any other printer supplier I ever had – so I do not recommend their products
